CAMBODIA WITH KIDS
A journey through ancient Khmer beauties in Cambodia with Kids
There’s something magical about this fascinating kingdom that disorients and enchants travelers alike. Cambodia with kids will be a unique adventure for the whole family. In Cambodia, the ancient world meets the modern, offering a unique experience that you absolutely must share with your children.
To describe the temples of Angkor, one of the most extraordinary places in the world, superlatives abound. Angkor Wat is the largest religious building on the planet and certainly an essential destination for your trip to Cambodia with kids.
Another must-visit is Phnom Penh, the Cambodian capital, perfect for your family trip to Cambodia; a chaotic and fascinating city that has freed itself from the shadows of the past to embrace a bright future. With one of the most picturesque riverfronts in the region, Phnom Penh is quite refined with its trendy hotels, gourmet restaurants, and alternative bars.
Personally, we arrived in Cambodia at the beginning of December and to avoid moving too much during the holidays, we stayed on the coast until New Year’s Eve, finding it a perfect destination even for children. We lived for a month in a beach bungalow on Otres Beach, a tiny village that is impossible not to fall in love with. Otres, Otres 2, and their surroundings are definitely a must-visit stop.
Regarding the maritime area, among the southern islands of Cambodia, in development, Koh Rong and Koh Rong Sanloem are the best opportunity to fulfill your tropical dreams. Off the coast of Sihanoukville, Koh Rong has a festive atmosphere, with the village of Koh Tuch becoming a sort of hippie destination; the rest of the island, bordered by sparkling silica sand and draped in dense jungle, is a true retreat. Just south lies the quieter Koh Rong Sanloem, with some tropical resorts and beautiful shallow bays. Along the coast are other islands, including the Koh Sdach Archipelago and the large and almost untouched Koh Kong.
